Overview of TCRAT procedure

What is a TCRAT procedure?

Total Coronary Revascularisation via left Anterior Thoracotomy (TCRAT)

TCRAT  is a multi-vessel CABG procedure, done through an anterior mini-thoracotomy, in which the anastomoses are performed under direct vision on the cardioplegic heart using the usual coronary instruments and anastomotic techniques. The internal mammary artery (IMA) harvest can be performed under direct vision, thoracoscopically or robotically.

Like other minimally invasive procedures, TCRAT requires additional training and special instrumentation to help you achieve a satisfactory coronary target exposure and safe performance throughout the procedure.
